How can we help?
Find answers to common questions or contact ReturnPing support.
Email supportGetting started
From the Home or Purchases screen, choose Add purchase. Enter a product name, then add any useful retailer, price, category, date or receipt details. Product name is required; the other fields are optional. Choose Save purchase when you are ready.
Add only dates that apply to the purchase. The purchase form supports a purchase date, return deadline and warranty expiration date. If you later mark the item as returned and expect a refund, you can add the return date and expected refund date then. Verify every date against the retailer or manufacturer’s terms.
No. ReturnPing does not require a ReturnPing account. Purchase information is stored locally on the device according to the current app behavior.
Returns
Add or edit the purchase, choose the Return deadline field and save the retailer’s confirmed final eligible date. When return reminders and notification permission are enabled, ReturnPing schedules reminders using your saved reminder settings.
Open the purchase and choose Mark as Returned. Enter the return date and indicate whether you expect a refund. If a refund is expected, you can also save its expected date and amount.
Yes. Open the purchase, choose Edit purchase and change the return deadline. Saving the purchase reconciles its scheduled reminders with the new date, your reminder preferences and the current notification permission.
Refunds
Open the purchase and mark it as returned with Refund expected selected, or choose Track Refund for an item already marked as returned. Add the expected refund date and amount when known, then keep the retailer confirmation and carrier tracking separately where you can find them.
Open a purchase with a pending refund and choose Mark refund received. Save the received date and amount shown by the payment method. You can edit refund details later if a correction is needed.
Check the return tracking, retailer account, refund confirmation and original payment method. If the retailer’s estimate has passed, contact the retailer with the order number, return date and tracking details. ReturnPing can help you record and remember the expected date, but it does not determine refund eligibility or provide legal or financial advice.
Receipts
While adding a purchase, use Receipt photo and choose Take Photo or Choose from Library. You can also attach a receipt later from the Receipt section in Purchase Details. ReturnPing saves the selected receipt copy with that purchase.
Yes. Open the purchase, find its Receipt section and choose Replace. Select or capture the new image. Once the replacement is saved, ReturnPing removes the previous stored receipt copy where cleanup succeeds; the original photo in your library is not changed.
Photo access may be off or restricted. Open iPhone Settings, find ReturnPing and review its photo permission, then try Choose from Library again. ReturnPing requests access for the receipt image you choose; it does not read your email or automatically scan receipts.
Notifications
Check the saved reminder date first and make sure it is still in the future. Then check ReturnPing’s app notification permission, iPhone notification settings and any Focus mode that may silence or delay alerts. Also confirm that the relevant return, refund or warranty reminder type is enabled in Reminder settings.
Open ReturnPing Settings, choose Reminder settings and use the notification permission prompt. If permission was previously denied, open iPhone Settings and enable notifications for ReturnPing there. You can also choose which reminder types and timing options ReturnPing should schedule.
After you save the edited purchase, ReturnPing reconciles the old reminders with the new deadline. Obsolete scheduled reminders are cancelled and eligible replacements are scheduled using the saved reminder date, your reminder timing choices and current app notification permission.
Warranty tracking
Add or edit the purchase, choose Warranty expiration and save the confirmed date. Check the manufacturer and retailer terms to confirm both the coverage start date and the expiration calculation.
Yes. A purchase can include a product name, retailer, price, category, purchase date, warranty expiration date and one receipt image. The current purchase form does not provide separate model-number or serial-number fields, so keep any additional documentation you may need for a claim.
No. Warranty eligibility is decided by the retailer or manufacturer under the applicable terms.
Lifetime Pro
Lifetime Pro currently unlocks unlimited active purchases and disables advertising. Return, refund and warranty tracking, receipt organization and reminder features continue to follow the capabilities and permissions available in the installed app.
Open ReturnPing Settings and choose Restore Purchases, or use Restore Purchases on the ReturnPing Pro screen. Use the same App Store account that made the purchase and make sure the device can reach the store. ReturnPing will report whether an eligible purchase was restored or not found.
Lifetime Pro is intended as a one-time non-consumable purchase, not a recurring subscription.
Privacy and data
Purchase details, refund records, reminder records and app settings are stored in a local database on the device. Receipt images selected for a purchase are copied into ReturnPing’s private app storage. Review the Privacy Policy for the current draft details.
No. ReturnPing does not need access to your email inbox. You enter purchase details and choose which receipt image to attach.
Open Purchase Details, choose Delete purchase and confirm. This deletes the local purchase and linked refund, receipt and reminder records, cancels linked scheduled notifications and attempts to remove ReturnPing’s stored receipt copy. The action cannot be undone in the app.
The current app does not provide one Delete all data button. Delete purchases individually from Purchase Details. For device-level removal, use the app-management options provided by iPhone and follow Apple’s current guidance. Removing local ReturnPing data does not refund Lifetime Pro or remove App Store purchase information maintained by Apple.
